Dr. Jonathan R. Sarno is originally from a small town in Southeast Missouri. While growing-up Dr. Sarno had several pets ranging from dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, and guinea pigs. At a young age, he shadowed his first veterinarian and that is when he fell in love with the profession. Dr. Sarno attended the University of Missouri where he received his BS in Animal Science and then continued on to receive his DVM. After graduating, he moved to Henderson, NV where he worked at a fast-paced clinic, working with not only dogs and cats, but exotic animals as well. At this time, he found an interest in emergency medicine, moving him to Milwaukee, WI. This is where Dr. Sarno completed an internship in Emergency and Critical Care. During his internship, he worked alongside Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgeons, and Dermatology Specialists. After completing his internship, Dr. Sarno decided to come back to Las Vegas where he became part of the Aliante Animal Hospital team. Dr. Sarno’s professional interests include Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Soft Tissue Surgery.
When not working, Dr. Sarno enjoys spending time with his fiancé. You may also find him running, hiking, exploring, or just hanging out with family and friends. Dr. Sarno has three pets, Luka a 7 year old Siberian Husky, Aria a 2 year old Golden Retriever, and Mr. Edgar aka “Cat” a 2 year old domestic short hair.
